Where to start

When should a developmental consultation be considered?

You do not need a diagnosis before contacting us. If any of these sound familiar, it is reason enough to speak with our team.

Delayed speech or limited communication

Few words for their age, unclear speech, or difficulty making needs understood.

Difficulty sustaining attention

Trouble staying with a task, following instructions, or sitting through an activity.

Challenges with social interaction

Limited eye contact, difficulty playing with other children, or preferring to be alone.

Delayed developmental milestones

Sitting, walking, speaking or self-feeding arriving later than expected.

Sensory sensitivities

Strong reactions to sound, touch, texture or movement, or seeking constant stimulation.

Difficulties with learning

Persistent struggle with reading, writing or number work despite support at school.

Behavioural or emotional concerns

Frequent distress, difficulty with transitions, or behaviour that is hard to manage.

Challenges with daily living skills

Dressing, eating, toileting or self-care needing more help than expected for their age.

School-readiness concerns

Uncertainty about whether your child is ready for school, or which setting would suit them.

How we work

A coordinated approach to developmental care

Every child follows the same structured pathway, from the first conversation through to review.

  1. First appointment

Understanding your concerns and your child's developmental history.

  2. Detailed assessment

Conducted by our senior therapists across the relevant disciplines.

  3. Multidisciplinary panel

Your child's assessment is discussed by a panel of the professionals involved, before any plan is written.

  4. Therapy planning

Goals and recommended interventions arise from that discussion.

  5. Parent counselling

The plan is explained in full and the written report handed to you in person.

  6. Therapy, education and home practice

Centre sessions, classroom support, and structured activities at home.

  7. Periodic review

Progress measured against the plan, at the centre and at home.

Within three working days of the assessment, the panel meets and you receive your child's plan and written report in person.

Our approach

Parents and therapists share responsibility for progress.

Your child's plan does not stop at the door. Parents receive structured home activities with clear goals, progress is recorded between sessions, and each review measures against what was actually done — at the centre and at home.
